I am a photographer based in beautiful Banff, Canada. I specialize in photographing weddings in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise and Emerald Lake. My favourite subjects to photograph are people in love, pregnant bellies, babies learning to smile, silly kids and adorable dogs.

Orange Girl is the nickname that was given to me in art school when I drove a bright orange 1973 (same year as me!) VW superbeetle, wore orange everyday and dyed my hair orange. To put it simply...orange makes me happy.

Laura and Greg at The Banff Springs

I loved Laura's shoes and the special touch of her grandmother's brooch on the shoelace was very sweet.

Laura giving her Mum a little love before she puts on her dress.

The Ivor Petrak room at The Banff Springs is beautiful for intimate weddings.

The kids were soooo cute at Laura and Greg's wedding, I loved the guys brown suits and their cool shades.

I loved all the colour details. Greg's shirt and tie looked fantastic.

One of the things that Laura and Greg did together was play golf at The Banff Springs so they wanted a shot in a golf cart to remember that day together.

Laura had lots of handmade touches throughout the wedding. She made all of these custom little bags at the cookie jar station she set up. Laura's mum and step-mum made her favourite chocolate chip cookies that guests could help themselves to and Greg's mum made his favourite peanut butter cookies for guests. They were a huge hit and a wonderful personal favour.

I loved their animated cake topper, so fun.

This is one of my favourite moments between Laura and Greg at their reception.

I fell in love with this little guy snuggled underneath grandma's chair. He'll probably hate me for it later when it shows up in his wedding day slideshow.

I always love father daughter dances and the one that Laura shared with her Dad was particularly beautiful and made me a bit weepy. Their closeness and love for each other was evident and judging by the teary eyes I caught around the room I wasn't the only one who felt that way.

I love the lighting that Laura had chosen for each of her tables. It looked gorgeous and made the room feel even more romantic as it grew dark outside. Tabletalk helped Laura put her vision together for the big day.

Laura and Greg had a beautiful intimate wedding at The Banff Springs filled with adorable kids, lots of colour, personal touches and elegant decor. I had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. Laura was sending me sneak peeks of the some of the details like her cake topper and the wedding rings and I loved seeing how excited she was about their wedding. Laura and Greg travel all over the place together and know how to have fun together and their wedding reflected that in every way.
The teary ceremony and the happiness on their faces throughout the day was evident. I had an impossible time choosing what to blog and ended up with so many images and in the end I still feel like it doesn't even begin to tell the story of their day, but it is a hint anyway. Laura and Greg honeymooned in Banff and Jasper and were rewarded with many spectacular wildlife sightings.

Thank you Laura and Greg for making the trip to Banff and sharing it with those closest to you, it was a beautiful day and a fantastic party.
